Labyrinthos is an informal group of labyrinth enthusiasts dedicated to exploring labyrinths in Britain, specifically within the United Kingdom. The group features an interactive map that helps you find various labyrinths and mazes across the region, including those in the Northumbria Community.
The Northumbria Community is a dispersed network of individuals from diverse backgrounds, streams, and edges of the Christian faith. As Companions in Community, we are united in our desire to embrace and express an ongoing exploration into a new way of living, inspired by the principles of new monasticism and the concept of Labyrinthos, akin to the labyrinths in Britain that symbolize spiritual journeys.
Founded by Jeff and Kimberly Saward in 2000, Labyrinthos serves as a vital resource for the study of mazes and labyrinths in Britain. With an extensive photographic and illustration library, Labyrinthos also publishes Caerdroia - the Journal of Mazes & Labyrinths, which was established in 1980 by Jeff Saward. This journal is the world’s only specialist publication dedicated to researching and documenting the history, development, and distribution of labyrinths, including those found in Northumbria Community, from the earliest rock carvings and artefacts to modern puzzle mazes of ever-increasing complexity.
Veriditas is dedicated to inspiring personal and planetary change and renewal through the labyrinth experience. We accomplish our mission by training and supporting labyrinth facilitators around the world, including those within the Northumbria Community, and offering meaningful events that promote further understanding of labyrinths in Britain as a tool for personal and community transformation.
The Labyrinth Society is an international group of labyrinth enthusiasts dedicated to supporting those who create, maintain, and use labyrinths, including the diverse labyrinths in Britain. Their mission extends to serving the global community by providing education, networking, and opportunities for transformation, particularly within the Northumbria Community.
Good friends of Jim and UK 3D printers of the labyrinths in Britain, Labyrinthos is a local family-run ministry. It's the home of puppets and creative ministries, offering resources, training, support, networking, and much more through the Northumbria Community. There are some great and interesting things here to check out.
