Spirit of Chartres labyrinth Sphere, also called the "Recovery Labyrinth" or "Nether Springs" Labyrinth, is a unique 3D-printed spherical Labyrinth.
This Labyrinth Sphere symbolises the journey of life. It is based on the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth and is a finger meditation tool for pilgrimage, relaxation, meditation, and mindfulness.

Each Labyrinth Sphere requires 6 hours for artisan-style 3D printing. Afterwards we hand-finish and blesses each one.

History of the Labyrinth Spheres
Jim created a way to walk a finger labyrinth by touch, something that could be kept in the pocket for use during prayer, meditation, and mindfulness. He did not want to use plastic, so he explored more ecological alternatives and discovered a natural organic plant polymer that is far more environmentally friendly than plastic renewable and biodegradable, made from corn starch, sugar cane, and similar plant sources.
A few early samples were printed, and during 2020–2021 he used, prayed with, and explored the labyrinth sphere, refining the idea through hands-on practice and reflection. In December 2024, a new and improved Labyrinth Sphere design was developed in the Classical and Chartres style pattern.
Jim rediscovered that praying by touch is a powerful and deeply personal way to experience prayer. He would use his hands to navigate the path to the centre and back out again, engaging fully with the texture and form of the sphere. The labyrinth prayer spheres became known for their exceptional quality, fine detail, and tactile, kinaesthetic design offering comfort to both the hands and the heart.
Each sphere takes around six hours to 3D print individually.
The finger labyrinths and Labyrinth Spheres are assembled with care and accompanied by prayers and meditations. They are ethically printed in the UK using eco-friendly materials.
